"Spartacus: Blood & Sand" was a surprise hit and a really entertaining show. It´s lead actor Andy Whitfield played the title role of Spartacus, the slave who became a gladiator who became a rebel freedomfighter.
Andy Whitfield was diagnosed with cancer shortly after the first season finished filming and yesterday he lost the battle against Non Hodgkin's Lymphoma. The fine Australian actor was 36
